Bulgarian population in transitional period.
In the transition period from a communist to market-oriented economy, Bulgaria faces several public health challenges. One of them is the decline in population (estimated fall from current 8.25 million to around 6 million in 2045), mainly due to emigration and pronounced fall in fertility. Infant mortality is still relatively high (over 15/1,000 live births), and the incidence of tuberculosis i...
متن کاملTHE DISK AROUND CoKu TAURI/4: CIRCUMBINARY, NOT TRANSITIONAL
CoKu Tau/4 has been labeled as one of the very few known transition disk objects—disks around young stars that have their inner disks cleared of dust, arguably as a result of planetary formation. We report aperture-masking interferometry and adaptive optics imaging observations showing that CoKu Tau/4 is in fact a near-equal binary star of projected separation ∼53 mas (∼8 AU). The spectral ener...

متن کاملUnraveling the Transitional Disk RX J1615.3-3255: Scattered Light Observations Versus Disk Models
We present a two-stage analysis of the transitional disk RX J1615.3-3255 located in the Lupus association (∼1 Myr old). Using 1.6 μm scattered light, polarized intensity images observed with the HiCIAO instrument of the Subaru Telescope, we deduce the position angle and the inclination angle. The disk is found to extend out to 92 ± 12 AU in the scattered light and no clear structure is observed...
